Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old origins. Founded on the ancient Chinese tile game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the far east with the wild west in a wonderful game for beginner level gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler versus the croupier, unlike almost all other poker games that players wager against other players. By playing against the dealer, starting players don’t have to fret about any other, more experienced gamblers taking their mulla.

One more Pai Gow benefit is the relatively slow game pace, newcomers are able to take their time and strategize without having to make quick decisions.

It’s also simpler to wager on for a very long time with only a little bit of money seeing as, to not win, each of your hands needs to be lower than both of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the customary 52-card common deck and a single joker. The gambler is assigned 7 cards faces showing and the casino is given seven cards faces hidden.

A 5 card hand and a 2 card hand need to be made from the 7 cards dealt, the five card hand must be stronger than the 2 card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be higher than the dealer’s.
