Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old origins. Built on the ancient Chinese tile game and the current American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the far east with the wild west in a fantastic game for starting gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player against the dealer, unlike most other poker games that players wager against other players. By gambling against the dealer, new players don’t need to be concerned about any other, more knowledgeable gamblers winning their money.

Another Pai Gow advantage is the relatively leisurely game play, newcomers should be able to take their time and plan without having to make hasty decisions.

It is also easier to wager on for an extended time with just a tiny bit of cash since, to not win, both of your hands needs to be lower than both of the casino’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the customary 52-card basic deck and one joker. The gambler is assigned seven cards faces showing and the house receives seven cards faces hidden.

A five card hand and one 2 card hand need to be made from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand has to be higher than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand totals to be higher than the dealer’s.
