Online poker has become world celebrated recently, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, stretches back in reality a bit further than its TV scores. Over the years many variations on the original poker game have been developed, including some games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers wager against the bank instead of each other. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is little bluffing or other kinds of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up prior to the croupier announcing "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the bank and of course all of the other gamblers are given five cards. After you have seen your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you need to in turn make a call bet or surrender. The call bet’s value is akin to your beginning wager, which means that the stakes will have doubled. Abandoning means that your ante goes instantly to the house. After the wager comes the conclusion. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, plus a figure equal to the original wager. If the house does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The bank pays money even with your wager and fixed expectations on your call wager. These odds are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for 2 pairs
- 3-1 for 3 of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- twenty to one for a four of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
