Gus Hansen enjoyed an amazing year on the WPT where he was the only gambler to make it to the final table in 3 of the competitions. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on GSN where he bought into the game for $400, 000. You might remember one of the largest pots in big stakes poker history competing against Daniel Negreanu. Gus raked in a large pot with 4 of a kind against Negreanu’s full house. Gus has earned many tv poker appearances and is considered to be one of the strongest enthusiasts around the world. While betting on net poker, another side of Hansen has appeared. Gus often participates in the 200/400 No Limit maximum buy in of $40, 000. Hansen more often than not buys in for the minimum of Sixteen Thousand dollars and plays very weak. He waits patiently for a good hand and then pushes all-in. I accept that Hansen is an amazing poker player but not even close to the familiar players at 200/400no limit. Unless Gus is flat broke, he has no reason to settle at the game with the min buy in.

Playing for the min takes most of the expertise out of deep stack poker. Gus is presumed to be one of the best poker players in the world but he cannot buy-in for the total amt.. I think television can skew our view of the real world every now and then. The greatest poker players anywhere in the world might be guys you have will not have heard of before. Gus can be found gambling on internet poker on Full Tilt. He normally competes in high stakes omaha high and hold’em. Gus Hansen has shown himself as a tournament player. Can he use his skills in money games?
